LSU NCBRT/ACE has led the way in creating new training methods that deliver specialized training and education, providing the skills necessary to prepare for, respond to, and recover from complex threats and high-consequence events. When restrictions to in-person training and outreach created a necessity for new training methods, the LSU NCBRT/ACE Media Production Team met that need by creating innovative video, audio, graphic design, and multimedia content.
Beginning with a series of just-in-time training materials for COVID-19 responders, the team’s efforts quickly expanded to include internal messaging, public service announcements, outreach products, and supplemental content for LSU NCBRT/ACE courses. The team provides technical assistance on a number of the program’s remote digital products, including the LSU NCBRT/ACE Preparedness Podcast.
The team also prepares multilingual versions of select content to ensure maximum visibility and for distribution to territorial and international partners. Team members work closely with LSU NCBRT/ACE curriculum specialists to ensure all videos meet 508 Compliance standards. As part of LSU NCBRT/ACE partnerships, the team has produced media products for The National Domestic Preparedness Consortium, The Louisiana Office of Public Health, and LSU Online and Continuing Education.
The team’s diverse sets of skills allow for a comprehensive, in-house production process. This includes pre-production coordination and scripting with Subject Matter Experts (SME), on-location shooting and studio recording, and all phases of post-production. Specialties include art direction, storyboarding, production planning, editing, audio production and videography.
The LSU NCBRT/ACE Media Production Team continues to grow and utilize state-of-the-art technology and equipment to create professional quality video and audio products that enhance and expand LSU NCBRT ACE’s digital outreach and meet the new demands of virtual training.
